Bendito-301 is a polymer-modified grey-based tile adhesive for installing ceramic, semi-vitreous, and vitrified tiles of small to medium size in interior areas. It is suitable for both vertical and horizontal surfaces, over cementitious substrates for indoor applications. (For improved performance and external floor areas, use with Bendito Stone Faijar.)

Method of Application:

Surface Preparation:

1. The surface to be tiled should be sound and thoroughly cleaned, free from wax, grease, polish, etc.

Mixing:

1. Add 3-3.5 parts of powder to 1 part of water.
2. Mix with a trowel or slow-speed drill (50-100 rpm) until a lump-free homogeneous paste is obtained.
3. Always mix the required quantity, which can be consumed within 60 minutes of pot life.
4. Leave the mixture for 5-10 minutes and remix before use. Mix only the sufficient quantity of adhesive for immediate need.

Fixing:

1. Spread the adhesive to a thickness of approximately 3-6 mm and comb with a notched trowel. Apply the adhesive paste, which can be tiled within 10 to 15 minutes.
2. Ensure that the piece of tile is completely bedded in the mortar or adhesive with 100% coverage to eliminate the possibility of any air voids.
3. Excess mortar on adhesive shall be cleaned from the surface of the stone with a wet cloth or sponge while the mortar is fresh.
4. If a plaster/levelling mortar bed is applied, ensure that it is cured for at least 7 days to achieve proper strength before application of tile adhesive.
5. Dampen the wall before application of thin-set adhesive.
6. Keep joints between tiles using spacers.
7. Start filling joints only after 24 hours with Bendito Epoxy Kit or Bendito TG Mix.

Precautions & Limitations:

• The floor surface should be sufficiently hard and in good condition for laying tiles.
• Always add powder to water, never add water to powder.
• Do not add excess water beyond the recommended amount.
• Never add sand and cement at the site.
• Not suitable for tiling on gypsum plaster, paint, wood, and metal.
• For heavy tile applications or external floor areas, use with Bendito Stone Faijar.
