Areas of Application: Designed especially for interior and exterior floor and wall installations of all types of ceramic tile, vitreous tile, semi-vitreous tile, glass mosaic tiles, precast terrazzo, and natural stones over concrete and a variety of substrates.
Features & Benefits:
- For fixing ceramic tiles, vitrified tiles on interior floor and wall
- Ideal for new floor tiling
- Easy to use – just add water on site, ready to use
- Provides a crack-free, breakage-free, firm surface that preserves the beauty of tiling for a longer time
- Ready to use, needs no curing
- Excellent adhesion with low shrinkage
- Water-resistant, suitable for wet areas
- Good adhesive bond strength and bonds to various cement-based substrates
- Low VOC for healthy living
Method of Application:
Surface Preparation:
- The surface to be tiled should be sound and thoroughly cleaned, free from wax, grease, polish, etc.
Mixing:
- Add 3-3.5 parts of powder to 1 part of water.
- Mix with a trowel or slow-speed drill (50-100 rpm) until a lump-free homogeneous paste is obtained.
- Always mix the required quantity, which can be consumed within 60 minutes of pot life.
- Leave the mixture for 5-10 minutes and remix before use. Mix only sufficient quantity of adhesive for immediate need.
Fixing:
- Spread the adhesive to a thickness of approximately 3-6 mm and comb with a notched trowel. Apply the adhesive paste, which can be tiled within 10 to 15 minutes.
- Ensure that the piece of tile is completely bedded in the mortar or adhesive with 100% coverage and to eliminate the possibility of any air voids.
- Excess mortar on adhesive shall be cleaned from the surface of the stone with a wet cloth or sponge while the mortar is fresh.
- If a plaster/levelling mortar bed is applied, ensure that it is cured for at least 7 days to achieve proper strength before application of tile adhesive.
- Dampen the wall before application of thin-set adhesive.
- Keep joints between tiles using spacers.
- Use suitable support along with adhesive for fixing tiles on vertical surfaces.
- Clean off surplus adhesive from the tile face and between joints. Clean tools and tile work with water while adhesive is fresh.
- Start filling joints only after 24 hours with Bendito Epoxy Kit or Bendito TG Mix.
Precautions & Limitations:
- The floor surface should be sufficiently hard and in good condition for laying tiles.
- Always add powder to water, never add water to powder.
- Do not add excess water beyond the recommended amount.
- Never add sand and cement at the site.
- Not suitable for tiling on gypsum plaster, paint, plywood, wood derivatives, metal, decorative laminates, or highly deformable surfaces subject to vibrations.
- Adhesives for ceramic tile, bricks, and stone are not designed as replacements for waterproof coatings.
- Leave no voids behind tiles.
- Protect from direct rainfall and foot traffic for at least 24 hours.
- For heavy tile applications or external floor areas, use with Bendito Stone Faijar.
- Do not use for fixing artificial, nano, engineered stone, composites, or metal tile.
